Alex Schupp

Founder, Crowd for Causes

Alex Schupp is the founder of Crowd Digital Marketing and the visionary behind Crowd for Causes. With a rich history in digital marketing and business development, Alex's journey began at the renowned advertising agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder. He then moved to Boston to serve as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at SocialMadeSimple, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the company. Craving the Colorado mountains, Alex returned to Denver, where he significantly increased revenues as the Director of Digital Marketing at a boutique social marketing agency. He later advanced to Vice President of Operations and Partnerships at Spotzer Digital, managing global partnerships.

In 2017, Alex established Crowd Digital Marketing, driven by a passion to collaborate with growing businesses and prominent brands across various sectors. The firm's clientele includes notable names like Temaki Den, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, reflecting a strong focus on impactful work.

Expanding his commitment to the nonprofit sector, Alex acquired Noble in 2024—a company specializing in web development for nonprofits. This strategic acquisition led to the formation of Crowd for Causes, a dedicated division aimed at enhancing digital support for nonprofit organizations. Through Crowd for Causes, Alex aspires to empower nonprofit entities by leveraging cutting-edge digital strategies to amplify their missions and achieve greater societal impact.

Outside the office, Alex is an avid outdoor enthusiast and board member of Veterans to Farmers, aligning his personal passions with his professional expertise to foster community and sustainability. His dedication to innovation and community service underscores his leadership at Crowd for Causes, where he continues to drive transformative solutions for the greater good.

But recruiting and organizing volunteers can be a challenge, especially for small teams with limited time and resources. That’s where social media can play a powerful role. At Crowd for Causes, we work with nonprofits that want to turn their online audiences into real-world supporters. With the right strategy, social media can help organizations not only recruit volunteers but also build long-term relationships with people who care deeply about their mission. Here are a few ways nonprofits can use social media to find and activate volunteers.

At Crowd for Causes, we partner with nonprofits and political campaigns that have bold ideas, ambitious goals, and limited in-house resources to execute them. From grassroots candidates to established political organizations, we collaborate with teams that need expert digital support, without the cost or complexity of building an internal marketing department. Our role is simple: turn ideas into action and campaigns into movements.
